On 21 March 2012, Old Mutual plc, the ultimate parent company of Skandia Fund Management (Ireland) Ltd (which operates as the manager to Skandia Global Funds Plc), sold the Nordic business unit (comprising long term savings and banking operations in Sweden, Denmark and Norway) to Skandia Liv. As a result, the companies in the Old Mutual Group are no longer affiliated to the companies in the Skandia Liv Group. Skandia Investment Group (SIG) is the marketing brand name for Skandia Investment Management Limited (SIML) and Skandia Global Funds (SGF). SIG was created in 2007 with focus on delivering world class investment products through a clear understanding of clients’ investment needs, and has over $12.5bn assets under management.
